My daughter wants me to take her Senior pictures for her and so I thought that I would go and start practing. These are a few I took the other night and even though she is only a junior(for a couple of days anyway). I think that I can use some of these for what she is looking for. I plan on doing quite a few more....but hey at least I am being proactive.

California with a 50

I recently went to a Botanical garden in Southern California.  I wanted to go and practice taking pictures of flowers and also practice taking pictures with a fixed focal length.  I took my 50mm 1.4 lens and tried various apertures took get the look I wanted and to also get the correct exposure I was wanting.  Here are are few from that trip.

For the past 3 years I have been traveling to California for work. I sometimes frequent Pt. Mugu near Camarillo and Oxnard and have taken quite a few photos at this particular beach. The past time that I went there I found what looked to be a used fire pit that I am sure was used for a fun time out on the beach. For some particular reason it caught my eye and I couldn't resist posting it on my blog.
