Fires out

For the past 3 years I have been traveling to California for work. I sometimes frequent Pt. Mugu near Camarillo and Oxnard and have taken quite a few photos at this particular beach. The past time that I went there I found what looked to be a used fire pit that I am sure was used for a fun time out on the beach. For some particular reason it caught my eye and I couldn't resist posting it on my blog.

I took 3 of my girls out to take pictures the other day. I continue to learn more and more about taking pictures. I am continually amazed at how the simplest of structures can make for a nice picture. For these pitcures I found a couple of old barns (we had to trudge through some snow to get to them but as you can tell, they made a nice backdrop), an old bridge and railroad tracks.

This was a series of pictures that I did for a Christmas present. Two of these pictures were recently accepted into the Pentax Photo Gallery (my first attempt at having pictures accepted). This was a fun gift to put together. Now if I can only find the prints that I had made I could get the gifts to the people that I had made this for.

I have always wanted to capture the Aspens in the fall time. I have always loved the white bark with the colors of the surrounding leaves of the other trees and shrubs. I applied a Lightroom preset to soften up the picture a little bit.
